Having a skincare routine is so very  important even though I tend to ignore it when I am too tired to function. (Which is really bad don’t do that.) I have used so many different products before and none of them have really worked for me until now. I have noticed that my skin is really grateful that I am keeping a routine and that I am treating it. I have a normal to oily skin type and suffer from acne. The reasoning behind why I decided to create and maintain a skincare routine.

I had noticed in the last couple weeks that my skin was getting worse and worse because I did not have a regular routine which would then lead me to wearing more makeup to cover up any imperfections. The more product I applied  to my face the more it eventually lead to irritating my skin and causing more breakouts. Luckily I have found a solution. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do not have perfect porcelain skin after a month or so of sticking to this routine but there is a noticeable difference. The way my skin has reacted to this routine is letting me know that I am doing the correct thing and using the right for for my skin in particular. So let’s get right into it shall we.

In The Morning:

Every morning after I wake up I immediately go to wash my face with the Tea Tree Skin Cleansing Facial Wash by The Body Shop. This is a gel wash that helps remove excess oils and impurities.  Washing your face regularly is key step obtaining clearer skin.

After washing  my face and removing any excess oils or grime that may have built up over night I then apply a toner.  I am Currently using the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner which is meant to remove any traces of impurities left behind after using the facial wash. This particular toner contains oil observing powders to help do so. (Note: The powders settle at the bottom of the container and every time before use you must shake well to activate the powders.

Following the toner I moisturize my skin with The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion. This lotions is very lightweight and hydrating for the skin. Just because I have normal to oily skin it does not mean I get to skip this step. Hydrating the skin is just as important as washing it. I certainly do not want my skin to start over producing oils or becoming flaky and dry because I am not hydrating it. An once again over producing oils can lead to blemishes with is what I am trying to avoid.

The final step in the morning routine is to apply The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil. This is a concentrated oil that helps target troubled areas. By targeting certain spots with the oil these blemishes should disappear within a few days.

That completes my morning routine now for the evening…

In the evenings:

The very fist thing I do is remove my makeup. Most of the time I use Makeup removal wipes but occasionally I use coconut oil and a muzzling cloth to do so.

I basically repeat my morning routine but every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night instead of using  The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Skin Cleansing Facial Wash I switch it out for the Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser. Everyone has heard a lot about the Glamglow masks and how amazing they are and to tell you the truth I have never really used them simply because I did not want to pay a ridiculous amount of money for such a small amount of product. Now the cleanser isn’t incredibly cheap either but it is certainly much affordable but yet still very expensive for a facial cleanser. I do have to add that this cleanser is all that it’s praised to be. ever since I’ve added this into my routine the improvement of my skin has really been a lot more noticeable.

On Tuesday and Thursday nights I use My Nip + Fab Skin Glycolic Instant Fix Mask. This mask is meant to help with tightening pores and evening  the skin.  It is also boost radiance and treat oily skin.

That is pretty much my daily skincare routine. The evenings is what changes the most but I am honestly happy that I have a routine that is working for me. If you have any questions about the products feel free to leave them i the comment section below and I will make sure to answer them as promptly as I can.
