Turning Back Time
Posted on January 29, 2016
I have recently stumbled across an old box of photographs my mom keeps safely put away. This box contains so many photographs of my childhood and it brings back so many happy and nostalgic memories. Looking at a photograph is like going back in time and reliving past moments that have escaped us. Every single image is a moment captured in time with a unique story to be told. There is something about photographs no matter the format that captivates me. The idea of being able to freeze a fragment of time and capture a moment and place completely fascinates me.
Now, the real question is If you could go back in time would you change anything and why?
To be honest I don’t think there is one simple answer to this question or a right or wrong one for that matter. Luckily, I lived a great childhood and have been extremely fortunate to have very loving and supporting friends and family. I truly don’t think that I would change a thing. Every single experience and every moment that I have lived has made me the person I am today and I fear the idea of changing something in the past and drastically affecting the future. Without everything that I have lived I don’t know where I would be or who I would be today. I am happy and proud of the person I have become and I am aware that I have a long way to go to be the best person I can be. We could ponder on the thought of changing the past for a very long time but the truth is we will never know.
