We are now half way through January and the time to freshen up our beauty essentials has come. I absolutely love all things beauty and have recently been on the hunt for some new products. Although I wanted to change up my makeup and skincare routine I did not want to break the bank. So, I decided to purchase some drugstore items that would be affordable and easy to find in your local shops.
- Rimmel London Stay Matte 001 Transparent
- New York Color a.k.a NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder 701A Translucent
Powders are definitely a must have in my makeup collection because I tend to have combination to oily skin and it is absolutely necessary to set my foundation with a powder. I have never used the NYC Pressed Face Powder before, but it was reasonably cheap so I am really hoping that it works out for me. Now, the Rimmel Stay Matte powder is an excellent powder and it does the job. I have been using the Stay Matte powder for years and it is one beauty item I swear by.
- Rimmel Stay Blushed
- 002 Touch of Berry
- 003 Peach Flush
- 004 Sunkissed cherry
- 005 Apricot Glow
Blush is one of the things I usually buy the least. I may have one or two blushes in my makeup collection and that is about it. I have never used the Rimmel Stay Blushed before but there are several good reviews about these products so I am really hoping they meet expectations.
- Rimmel Good to glow
- 001 Notting Hill Glow
- 002 Piccadilly Glow
- 003 Soho Glow
I LOVE highlighters and am always looking for more. I have never tried any of the Good to Glow highlighters before but have read many great reviews about them and have decided to give them a go.
- Maybelline Color Tattoo
- 25 Bad to Bronze
- 90 Vintage Plum
I love cream eyeshadows because they are so easy to apply and they often are simple and stunning enough to be worn on their own. I have owned cream eyeshadoes before but never the Color Tattoos.
- Jordana Easyliner for Eyes
- Brown Suede
I have used the Jordana Easyliners before in different shades and they work great for a really inexpensive product.
- Rimmel London Wonder’Lash Mascara 003 Extreme Black
I love a good mascara and I am currently using the Maybelline Lash Sensational and absolutely love this mascara.I don’t really tend to explore much with mascaras but decided to pick up the Wonder’Lash mascara and give it a go.
- Jordana FabuBrow 02 Medium Brown
I have recently run out of my Sleek Eyebrow Stylist in Medium and wanted a quick replacement mean while I place a Sleek Makeup order. Since I have used some Jordana products previously I decided to purchase their brow pencil just to test it out.
- Jordana Easyliner for Lips
- Rose Crush
- Rock N’ Rose
I picked these up because I have used some of these before and they go well with some lipstick that I already own. I also grabbed these because some of them appear to be similar to some of my MAC lip liners so I will be testing them out and comparing.
- Rimmel London Kate
- 111 Kiss of Life
- Wet n Wild 534B Mink Brown
I love Rimmel Lipsticks and own a few in the colors 124 Bordeaux, 170 Alarm and 036 Kiss and decided to buy more red tone lipsticks. The wet in wild lipstick are extremely cheap but I have yet to try them out and see f they are worth purchasing.
- Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray
- Aussie 3 Minute Miracle
Not Your Mother’s products are great and I continue to purchase them. As for the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle this is the first time i have purchases this product since my hair is in need of conditioning. I dyed my hair in July and plan to dye it soon so I want to make sure I am taking care of my hair.
- Tree Hut
- Shea Moisturizing Body Wash- Tropical Mango
- Shea Sugar Scrub- Topical Mango
- The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Kit
I just really want to treat myself and take care of my skin so these two purchases should help me do so. The body wash and scrub smell SO GOOD! And Tea Tree Blemish Kit works wonders. I have been using this product for about a month now and have really noticed a chance in my skin being more even and having less breakouts. I think the kit is worth a try if your looking to clear up your skin.
As you guys can tell I haven’t really used many of the products I purchased previously. So if you are interested in knowing more about how well the products work or want to share your experience with these products then leave a comment below and I may post some reviews in the future. Hope you guys are enjoying your Friday as it’s the best day of the week! Don’t forget to like, share and comment if you enjoyed this post 🙂
Lots of Love,
